OLEIFERA
Rape Seed Oil
THE STORY OF A SEED
It's the old farming story - seed goes in the ground, rain falls, the seed grows and the farmer harvests the crop.
Unlike many products in today's world, however, we can tell you the name of the man who planted the seed, the name and exact location of the field in which it was planted, how many inches of rain fell on the seed and even the names of the people who drove the tractors at harvest time (and the names of their wives and children)! We can trace every single bottle of Oleifera to the exact field in which it was grown because our harvested seed is kept in special seed bins at the grain store so we never lose sight of this provenance.
Because each bottle of our oil is taken from seed from an individual field, with its own
subtle differences in rainfall levels, temperature, sunshine and soil types, the exact look of the oil may vary very slightly from bottle to bottle, although because the seed variety is always the same, the quality of the oil always remains unaffected.
Rapeseed oil also contains mono-unsaturated fats (59%) and poly unsaturated fats (30%) as well as Omega 3, 6, 9 (essential fatty acids) which are all known to help lower cholesterol.
It is our company policy to source our fresh produce from local suppliers, but to maintain our high quality standards we also source from some of the most renowned producers within the UK.
